Our Cuvées
Each cuvée is vinified and aged naturally, without oenological additives, to fully express our diverse limestone and calcareous clay terroirs.
We produce our own volcanic sulfur and use nitrogen blanketing before pumping the juice or wine into containers, even at the bottling stage.
These two practices allow us to reduce the use of sulfur significantly, resulting in wines that are more open and fruit-forward.
We also employ extended ageing. While techniques like fining, filtration, and cold stabilization save time, we believe that time itself is our best ally! By allowing 18 to 24 months of ageing, we avoid using methods we consider harmful to wine.
We choose from a variety of containers - wooden vats of varying capacities, barrels, concrete eggs, amphoras, wineglobes - based on the needs of each vintage and cuvée.
White Sancerre
Our Sauvignon Blanc vines are planted on the calcareous clay-rich slopes of Maimbray. 70% grow in terres blanches (white calcareous clay), a terroir that lends power, roundness and minerality. The remaining 30% are planted in caillottes (stony limestone) soils for fruit and finesse.
Red Sancerre
60 % of our Pinot Noir vines are planted in iron-rich clay-limestone soils, for freshness and powerful tannins. Other vines grow in clayey marls, which contribute roundness, fruit, and generosity.
Rosé Sancerre
Our rosé is made from Pinot Noir grapes grown in clay-rich soils. They are pressed immediately after harvesting to preserve fruit, freshness, and finesse.
White Mainbré
The estate’s signature wine!
A combination of fruit, freshness and minerality
Les Chasseignes
This sunny terroir, with limestone soil characteristic of Sancerre, yields a wine that is the epitome of minerality.
Le Cotelin
Hailing from a slope in Maimbray, this cuvée’s sunny profile is counterbalanced by its flavourful, lemony finish.

La Montée de St Romble
The grapes grow on the north slope of Maimbray, whose soil is rich in fossilized Kimmeridgian shells. This terroir shows strong potential for the future as it is well adapted for producing balanced wines in hot vintages.
Red Mainbré
This smooth, fruity red Sancerre is ideal for elegant moments shared in good company… Grape variety: Pinot Noir
Camille
This cuvée, which pays tribute to our great uncle Camille, allies finesse, power and elegance and stands the test of time gracefully…

Reviews

The Raimbault brothers, Julien and Clément, represent a new, ambitious generation of Sancerre winegrowers. In the past, we described their wines as “clear, modern and smooth, rather polished. A few parameters need adjusting so that these technically perfect Sancerres can demonstrate more vibrance”. We are happy to see that the wines have become more expressive. These are more relaxed, generous wines, yet they haven’t lost their signature precision. The sunny 2022 vintage is a success in balance! It is a sheer delight to taste and allows the estate to earn its first star.

After Julien and Clément Raimbault took over their father and uncle’s 21-hectare estate, they implemented new methods and undertook organic conversion. Their Sancerres, especially the reds, are regularly acclaimed and are a sure bet!
The long, steep slope of Montée de Saint-Romble, overlooking the village of Maimbray, is carved from Kimmeridgian marl. For this cuvée, the Raimbault brothers draw magnificent richness from this terroir: elegant floral (acacia) and fruity (peach, candied apricot) aromas that are impeccably supported by fine woody notes (vanilla, chestnut paste). The palate is equally harmonious: fresh, smooth, dense, and juicy. This is a grand Sancerre intended for cellaring. Perfect with gourmet dishes such as chicken with morel mushrooms.
Camille 2022 (€20-30, 3,600 bottles): powerful oaky notes (clove, black pepper), but that do not mask the wine’s dark fruit flavours. Soft at first, silky on the mid-palate, then dense tannins into the finish. Promising!
